Default Absolute max spare size?

Anyone at all who knows for sure, what is the max tire diameter that will fit on the spare mount with the stock bumper? Yay or nay on a 35X12.5? And where's the limit, bumper or overall weight?

I read the small blurb about the spare tire size in the newbie FAQ post, but it was somewhat non-committal on the answer.

a big factor in what will fit is the backspacing of your wheel. i have 33's on 16 inch wheels with 4.5 backspacing and they fit fine. i heard you can do 35's. ive also seen some ppl use a wheel spacer on the spare mount for better clearance.

If you have the right backspacing on your wheels a 35" will fit just fine. I've got the stock carrier and stock rear bumper with a 35" tire on American Racing Chamber rims and it fits just fine.

Will 4.75 backspacing on a 35 fit on the stock tire carrier?

I have a 33 with 5" backspacing on there. No problem I have room for at least another inch of tire.

Thanks everyone. Good to hear. So it sounds like if there's any fitting issues with a 35 then it can easily be remedied with a cheap wheel spacer. I'd like to eventually get a tire carrier bumper but my initial budget is getting hosed on the 35's themselves. Oh what a terrible conundrum
