Default Ace slider install bolt problem. 2012 4 Door

Thanks in advance for any help.

These are the frame mounted 4 door sliders.

I'm installing the sliders from Ace, and I've had a problem getting the OEM bolts to re-attach.
The bolts appear to be peaned over in about 4 places on each bolt near the start, and I'm having fits.
I got one on with no problem, but the other two won't catch.
Is there a trick to this, like putting downward pressure on the bolt when removing?

OK, got them back on.
It was a combination of aligning the holes precisely and using a little downward pressure to start the bolts.

I'll leave this post up in case anyone does a search.
