Default Actual measured size?

Is anyone running the Toyo Open Country MT's in the 35x13.5R15 size?

If so I would like to know the actual measured size of the tire on the jeep (real world) if possible not the stated size on paper.

My Toyo OC MT's size 37x14.5R15's measure out at 35 3/4" tall and a tread width (not section width) of 12" with them installed on the Jeep.

Just wondering how close a 35x13.5 is to the 37..... may change up tires if close

Thanks

Actual measured size will depend on wheel width and inflation rate. The narrower the wheel, the taller the tire will be. The less inflation rate the shorter the tire will be. Tis can easily be ± more than an inch.

A good starting point is how wide of a wheel you expect to run.

It's a shame what we pay for these tires and most fall well short of advertised sizes. Like Jpop said wheel width and inflation does play in to the overall mounted height

How'd you find me Dave lol.... not sure for the DD stuff is all. Want to be able to run something daily instead of having to keep swapping out my 35's for 37's every time I go offroading so just exploring options for a full time tire... jeeezzz I may go back to the MTR's! Great tire and full size as stated.... idunno though.... just exploring Do I really need 2 sets of rims and tires

WOW measure out at 33.5 samedice! Hoping for at least close to advertised specs!

Yes it is really unfortunate that we pay for tires on specs and then when received find out that they actually fall short of our expectations for size. Just size... this isn't a what tire is a better tire on ice, snow, mud, rocks, etc... comparo.... just size alone.

Well with that all said I'm runing the 37x14.5R15 Toyo Mt's on 15x10 American racing rims AND I also do run 315/75R16 Pro Comp Xterrains on 16x8 Black rock rims (these are the DD tires/rims combo now) these measure out small as well with about 33.5 height and smaller tread width as well...... just would like to meet in the middle somewhere and find a true 35 or 36 in about 13.5 width..... so basically yeah.... I guess the better question is what tires are TRUE 35' 36's 37's etc... and what aren't.

My Pro Comps aren't true 35's
My Toyo's aren't true 37's
but my old MTR's were the closest true tire to date for me.
I know the iRoks Bias state less and measure out more but I won't be running a bias for a DD..... Anyone running the iRok ND's? How are they for size and wear and performance both on and off the road?

Thanks for the input JPop, Ryan0260 and samedice.

I drive too far and for too long on the highway when I go to work.

Want to do a little better on fuel mileage (little better... didn't buy it and do all this stuff to it based on fuel mileage lol) and quite simply don't want to wear these tires out from highway driving not off road driving

Just trying to find a nice wide TRUE 35 to fit on my 16x8 rims for the highway stuff I guess but if I'm finding I can do it all with one set of tires then the 37's could possibly go I guess..... just asking folks if they know of any tires that are true to the mfg spec'd size. Can't afford to buy and then hope and see so that's why I'm asking for real world experience/measurements from the peeps on here actually running them

The only tire I have ever seen that measures try is the ssr's but if I remember right we have the same setup and you would probably get better mileage out of 37s cuz your will be running lower rpm sown the highway. With my 35s I only get 16 at 65 cuz im running 27-2800 rpms.

OK... in the process of changing up my tires to a 35-36 size.

New direction...... Just would like to know what the actual measured size of these tires are and not what the website specs say.

Is anyone running or have real world measurements with the tires installed and on their rig for these tires and sizes?

Intend to slap them on my 16x8 rims and inflate to 25-30 range for DD.

The short list includes:

Toyo Open Country MT's size 315/75R16
iRok Radial 36x13.5R16
Pitbull Rocker radial 315/75R16
Goodyear MTR 315/75R16

Anyone who can shed a little light on these measurements would be greatly appreciated. Hopeing to pull the trigger on one of these tires come Monday.

Please help.
