have 315/17 hanook rf10s and love them,however,they only meaure 34?? Ready to proram hypertech and suprised at 34 inch height. Is this normal????

Completly normal. The wider the wheel the lesser the actual diameter will be and the wider the section width. The opposite is true of a narrower wheel. This is why the tire manufacturers specs include what rim it was measured on. Also most 35's are between 34 and 34.5"

 

Guess i should have gone 37s!

 

Keep in mind too that the actual tire height also depends on how much "squish" the Jeep has on the tire. It may well measure 35" in static "off the Jeep" trim, but when the weight of the Jeep is added, that can change significiantly....especially with a load range C.

I'll set it to 33" if I know I'm going to be aired down most of the trip. Still off a little.

The spare measures 35" diameter with no weight on it, so keep in mind the wheel well is still filled side-to-side by a 35" tire.

 

I just did a Accu-pro install and was supprized, my 35" cooper sst's measured
33.5". I did the mark the tire and ground thing and calculation. So far the
garman and the speedo are reading the same speed. The tires and 4:88
gears have approx. 20k miles. 07 unlimited rubi,3"tera flex lift.

My Procomp Xterrains measure 34.8 or 34.75 on a 35 tire @ 33 psi
