Default Added an oil pressure gauge
I installed an after market oil pressure gauge using the glowsport oil pressure sandwich adapter. The issue I am having is that the oil pressure gauge is running in sync with my tach. What did I do wrong?

Oil pressure goes up and down with rpm, especially when cold.

Post the readings you are getting at various rpm's after the engine is warm.
