Default Adding New Bumper/Winch...What amount of Front Lift?

Running 32's stock height. Want to add an LOD front bumper and a winch. Talking about a total of about 175# up front. Since stock bumper is about 25#, how big of a spacer should I add to the front end to level out the Jeep with the extra 150# up front?

What do you weigh? I sat on my front bumper and had the girlfriend measure the travel distance. Or find a pudgy girl to sit there, and you measure it. (just a thought)

yeah, thought about that, but it would be a little more than 150#
Should sit the GF on it instead.

Once you determine the weight, check your spring rate number and install some 4 door springs up front. For each number higher you gain approx. 1/4".

Depending on what bumper you are running and which winch, with wire or rope, will depend on what you want to add for a spacer. We always suggest measuring before you install your bumper and winch and then measure after to deceide if you want to add a spacer and then if so how much. That way you don't get the wrong thing. Our armor-lite bumpers don't seem to make any difference on the front suspension due to the high strengh light weight steel design but of course that all depends on what winch combo you are running also. Let us know if we can be of any help and we will be glad to help in any way we can.

Signature Mid Width with winch guard and skid plate. Will measure fender height before and after and lift accordingly. Still trying to decide whether to go coil spacers or new springs.

In my opinion the factory springs with a higher number are a good way to go, assuming you have a "low" number front spring. My bumper/winch combo was lighter than 150lbs but I got really good results going from 14s to 17s. As a matter of fact, after the bumper and winch I actually sat a little high in the front so I replaced the rear 55s for some 59s. Now I sit 1/2 inch higher in the back which is perfect for me. When I load gear and kids in the back or pull my trailer, I'll still be good. Heres a pic before the rear springs went on..

Keep in mind that the added weight over time will continue to sag the springs even further.

If your jeep is stock add 1" spacer and call it a day.you do not need anything else.
