Adding spacers to 2.5 coil lift
or adding a 1" body lift along with the 2.5 coil lift
Is this a good idea to get a little more lift "look" and or fix for sag after aftermarket equioment?

Anyone with a pic?

Is it as easy as adding the spacer, should I add a body lift as some suggest instead? Are there hidden issues as shafts, break lines, etc.

I know anything over 3" will cause issues with stock hardware.

I will be adding the terraflex rear tire carrier and my 315/75/R16 BFG KM2 soon.

 

If there is enough sag to need spacers, then the springs are probably too weak for the Jeep. If the springs don't sag but more height is needed, then spacers or a body lift will work fine.

My own JK 2-door weighs about 4500 with a driver and passenger. The 2.5" spring lift supports the weight just fine without any sag.

 

I have a 2.5 teraflex coil lift with a 1"spacer total 3.5 lift and i need a new drive shaft for the front.

Not a lot of sag but I notice that next to another 2.5 lift (with an Ace front and rear bumper) mine was about 3/4" lower. I forget his brand but I do know it was 2.5" I want to add the bumpers and do not want to sag any more. I have a 2 door JK with Terraflex 4door 2.5 coils.
Front drive shaft replacement is OK by me, anything else like control arms etc?

 

Here is mine 2.5" + 2" spacer. info is in my sig. I love the look. It does ride a little stiff but no terrible.

 

I'm running a 2.5 TF lift (4dr lift in my 2dr Rubicon automatic) which gave me 3.25" of lift up front. I just got a 3/4 RC spacer kit and was planning to install after Thanksgiving - along with some new Bilstein 5100 shocks.

How long did it take for the front DS to go on your guys Jeeps? and was it under normal driving conditions, or caused by offroad flexing? Just wondering how long I will have before I need to buy an after market drive shaft.

I have 2.5in TF springs and 3/4in daystar spacer for total of 3.25 with bilstein 5100's and AEV control arm correction brackets. It now rides better than stock.

 

I measured from the bottom lip of the fenders down past the center of the hub to the floor.

Front = 41 inches
Rear = just under 39

The rear has Terraflex rear tire carrier and 315/75/R16 BFG KM2 tire

I guess I need a rear spacer 1" to 1.5"


Terraflex 2.5 coil lift says no need for drive shaft replacements. I did notice some grease that flung out at the front drive shaft. Nothing is torn and all looks well. I wiped it all off and about 200 miles later still nothing. I ran 4wd for a bit and now I notice a little grease. So I guess I will buy a new shaft to hold on to. Some say it will be fine but Knowing that grease is flying out is always on my mind waitng for a fail
If I would have known this to begin with, I would have passed on the 2.5 and just gone with the 3" Terraflex lift with new shafts
