Default Adding spacers to 2.5" Coil Lift?

I know this has been talked about, but I can't seem to find an answer to my specific question.

I currently have the Rough Country 1.75" spacers front/rear on my JK, with some 3/4" spacers added up front to equal 2.5" front/1.75" rear.

A Rough Country 2.5" Coil Lift is on it's way to me, and I would like to know if I could possibly keep the 3/4" spacers up front with the new coils...and maybe cut the 1.75" spacers in the rear down to 3/4", and also leave them in when I install the new coils??

Does anyone know exactly what the RC Coil Kit adds as far as lift on a 2-door? If it adds exactly 2.5" front, then that would put me at around 3.25" front lift....if it's 2" rear, then obviously that's 2-3/4" in the rear (which I'm sure is fine).

Anyone see any potential issues with doing this?

I been told adding spacers to those progressve springs will make it ride rougher. Adding a 1" body lift would probably be a better option if you are trying to get more height out of it.

Yeah I read that too...I wonder why? Even a small spacer like 3/4"?

I added a 1" spacer all around to my TF 2.5, it rides a lil rougher, but not much, I think it's more because of the higher COG.

i have a teraflex 2.5 inch lift with 1.75 inch spacers all around......now i had to add drive shafts and control arms and trac bars but it dont ride too bad and looks great for cheaper. but i dont care cause im in a jeep. too many ppl are buying jeeps and just forget what a jeep is and what it aint. add those things cause you know later on your gonna do it anyways.

I have the TF 2.5" coil lift and a daystar 3/4" spacer up front to compensate for added bumper weight. I had the spacer before the lift and it drives exactly the same after the lift. I cant think of ANY logical reason why it would effect the ride as long as the factory dampeners are still used between the spring and the body.

Good to hear, I'm gonna do it then....any ideas on how to cut a 1.75" spacer down to .75"? I"m sure a buddy of mine has something that will do it...just haven't talked to him yet about it.

I imagine you could just saw them, most of them are just urethane. Or you can just order a new set, I got all 4 of mine for around $60 total.

Daystar allthough theybare on backorder has a softride .75 spacer lift front and back for 40 bucks. I would sale the 1 and 34 and buy that kit. And I'd rather have a little stiffer of a ride then mess with a body lift that's just me though

Just to point out, the reason the ride is rougher is most likely due to the higher lift height which creates a harsher angle your control arms... Longer arms alleviate that. But honestly, you shouldn't expect it to ride like a Tahoe or something similar anyway. I honestly think the rough ride is part of the charm of a Jeep.
