Adjustable control arms.
Alright im a newbie to adj. control arms and i have a dumb question. When the jeep is flexing how does the jam nut not come loose? I know when it tries to articulate to one side it will act like tightening the jam nut but flex the other way how does the jam nut not come loose?

The sperical joint should be doing all the rotating. This should have enough play in it to not let the jam nuts get loose.

Yeah I think its a combination of things. The Bump stopts to keep you from articulating to much upward and the limiting straps and or shock length for limiting the down travel. I would assume that if none of these were used or you had the wrong equipment paird up you do run the possibility of either tightening or loosening the jam nuts. |

They all bind against the control arm bracket. Some more than others. They can't twist too much. There is no where near enough force a properly torqued jam nut loose. You can't even adjust them (most arms) while on the vehicle. You're going to over load your brain bro ..be careful. We don't want a repeat of 2008. Check out Metal Cloak video on their control arms, they flex about 78 degrees sideways.
