Default adjustable front track bar really necessary?

Is an adjustable track bar really needed on a 2.5" lift on jkur? Most 2.5" lifts don't include them. I have read some manufacturers claim better articulation but do they really.

For a 2.5" lift it is not needed.

Agreed not necessary, but it is nice to align your axle and add rigidity

Take measurements on your Jeep to figure out the truth, as to whether or not its actually needed. If your axle is off centered more than half an inch, i would take an adjustable track bar into consideration.

Your choice... I purchased one for mine after I felt the Jeep wandered to much to let my wife and daughter drive. It drives like factory now... best $150 you can spend for "peace of mind". I say get it.

Articulation? Maybe a little. On one side. With the axles shifted you're most likely to feel a difference between hard left and hard right turns. Normal driving, you'll have a slight crab as you drive down the road, most noticeable by the car following you.

If your axle is off center I would get it.

I guess I should ask how much shift makes a difference. I have seen stock jeeps off by 1/4" on the showroom floor so a 2.5" lift might actually be closer to centered the other way with the lift. If a 2.5" lift ends up being 3/16" off is it going to make a difference seat of the pants?

NO, but it's nice to have one that is adjustable and beefier than stock. Makes for a great upgrade later on.
