Default Advice....

I have a 2012 JK and I am running 265/70/18 stock rims , 1.5 wheel spacers, Rancho 9000xl shocks, stock bumpers. My question is, if I get some Rubi springs will that give me a small lift ? (Does anyone know abt how much of one) and if so.... Should I stay with my current tire size or try to go up to say 285/75(70)/18?
Is it even worth the $ to swap out new tires?
And is it even worth say $400-$500 to get springs/install for maybe another inch lift?

Any advice is welcome.

I dont take it off road, its my DD. I'm just lookin to add a lil more height.
Thanks

Rubi springs are no different than others. What you're referring to is higher spring rates from coils that came from a JKU or heavier JK. The stiffer springs don't compress as much. This generally is only an option for a 2-door.

Not worth it if you have to pay for install. Also, for such a small increase in tire size, I can't see it being worth the expense, but it's your money.

I agree about tire swap. And I have a 2dr sahara and would get coil springs from a 4dr Rubi. And yes I was quoted approx $320 for install and thats not including to buy the springs.

I'm not sure how much lift you're wanting, but you can get a 2 1/2" RC budget block lift for around $180. And you can still use your rancho shocks. The ride will still feel stock. You can run up to a 35" tire. This is the set up I currently have on my 2012 jk. Just be prepared to change the gears if you decide to go with 35's. I'm running 4.56 gears and am very happy. Just something to think about......

Ok thanks. I will look into that as well.
Not wanting a major lift or anything so this sounds like what I may be looking for.

There are many budget boosts or lifts available. Look at quadra tech, northridge and other various companies that I didn't list. But I did the JKUR springs and I gained about 1 1/2" lift. But I want it this way for a couple of years. But at the end of the day it's your money and Jeep.

I haven't had my jeep very long. This is the only pic I have of it. But these are 35" tires on 17" wheels with 4.5" backspacing. And the matching spare fits on the rear tire carrier without any problems.

You can see it better if you click on the pic.

Spring swap on my '11..with 3/4" spacer added to level... 265 70 17 tires. I gained about 1 1/2" front, 1" rear. Only have around $100 invested. My advice..you can get the springs cheap enough..find a fellow jeeper to help with the install and you'll get a nice boost for a little cash.
