Advice before I pull trigger?
I'm the proud owner of a new 2013 JKU with an auto tranny. Use it as my daily driver and my off road rig for the many hunting/fishing/camping trips I do.
I want to lift and put some bigger tires on the jeep. Did some research and have put together a list of my first round of mods I wanna do. Getting ready to shell out the bucks and wanted to post the list of stuff I'm gonna buy and see what you guys think. Feel free to give many any advice on the setup I'm planning on purchasing next week. Good or bad, let me hear it!
-3.5 AEV Dualsport SC lift
-Procomp series 98 wheels 15X8 3.75 BS
-35X12.5/15 Goodyear MTR/K tires
-4.88 gears in both axles
-Eaton E lockers in both axles

With a 3 1/2" lift you my run into drive shaft issues, a 2 1/2" will work just fine with 35s and 15" wheels you my have to grind your calipers a bit. I went with 17s because of no wheel spacers and it can have more room to clean out mud and rock beteen the caliper and the wheels. dont forget bump stops if you are using stock fenders, just my thoughts I hope it helps
Agree that 2.5" is plenty of lift. You'll likely net around 3" from it anyway. I'm also not a fan of 15" wheels, both in terms of looks and risks (as highlighted by the previous poster).
I have a 2013 manual and went 4.88. I had my 35s on for a week after. If I was keeping the 35s, I likely would have gone 4.56. With 37s, the 4.88s are perfect. If youre looking at the gear chart, it generally works best to take an inch off the tire size to see what RPM's you'll be running.

He's got an auto, so the gears are fine. 15's are great for a retro look and tires are ridiculously cheaper. The 3.5" lift is personal preference, if you like it then run with it.
Caution with the Eaton e lockers though. I wish I could find the article on why to choose a different setup, but look around to double check your choice there.

Running mb72 in 15" with synergy tie rod set up with zero issues. Smash boogie and many others are running same set up with a 15". Not saying others have never had issues, but many of us are running upgraded tie rods with 15" wheels no problem.
