Default Advice needed for my next mod's

I have had my jeep for about a year now. It is a 2009 "X" unlimited. I bought it for 3 reasons:

1). I needed a dependable vehicle for use on my ranch that would hold up for years. (we had worn out two Polaris Rangers over a 4 year period. They seem to die about at 1200 hours).

2) It came with a "lifetime warranty"

3). I have always loved jeeps (this is my 4th one).

I have installed the following mods:

Rubicon Rock rails
Body armor front bumper
Warn 9.5ti winch
KC lights (2 pair)
Daystar switch panel
Sliding windows in hard top (for the dog)

In addition, I have a receiver hitch carrier that I utilize most of the time. (I carry feed/ranch supplies with it --up to 300/400 pounds.)

After utilizing the jeep for a year, in my opinion, the weak links are the tires and shocks. I have already replaced two of the tires (fortunately I bought tire protection) My jeep also has a slant to the front because of the weight of the front bumper and the ride is worse.

What should I do next? I had wanted to go bigger tires and lift. However, I really don't do the serious off road stuff and I want to keep my warranty intact. I am thinking I need heavy duty tire with "d" or "e" rated sidewalls. I also think I need heavier shocks.

What are your suggestions?

Yup...Yup, If that warranty is important forget about new shocks a lift or tires....Looks like you'll be shining those KCs at people on the street

Thanks for letting me vent

I would upgrade the shocks like Old Man Emu's which will give you some lift as well and get some different (bigger) tires when those wear out..
warranty was number two reason he bought the jeep. it was worth mentioning

If thats the case then we may as well look for another forum.. Because the Sponsors here don't sell warranties, they sell parts to modify Jeeps.. and If we don't buy parts, they don't sponsor, then we don't have a Forum any longer.. & thats on all of us..

Just don't like some of the fear mongering thats going on in the marority of threads I read lately .. Takes the fun out of it
I don't care about the warranty (I do but I don't lose sleep over it) , I mentioned that because he listed 3 things he loved about his Jeep and the warranty happened to be #2. Its only fair to tell him about what mods can potentially do to that said "Lifetime Warranty". So the first ? some1 should ask him is...How much does that mean to you...then if he replys No Worries then go ahead and get him modded out. This website is to inform people of the good, bad and ugly of the JK world, so deal with it

Dig deep and look beyond the warranty, thinking of it will just kill you.

I'm sorry if I sent the wrong message out. Warranty is important, but I realize I have to make some changes to get the most out of my jeep.

I am not a jeep "expert" by any means, but I have generally found this forum helpful. I would like some advise of what to do. For example, will stronger shocks help even if I don't need a lift?

Default Umm...If you read his post

You also need to consider that he has already modded his jeep + it's his 4th Jeep so he's probably not a
rookie when it comes to them or their warranties.. or maybe I gave him the benefit of the doubt, something you didn't!
If its his 4th Jeep and he knows about the mods/warrantys I don't think he would put his #2 love as THE WARRANTY....And if he has had other Jeeps in the past he should know about what mods he should make or more likely he never modded his other Jeeps and probably would like to know about the ramifications of modding this one. Waiting for him to reply with a "Yes, I understand what may happen but I want to mod anyway, whats the best way to start" Is giving him a informed choice rather than telling him to throw on a lift some rockin 37s an re-gear dude... (Its called useful info...look into it don't be a tool)
