I had the same problem on a 2003 Dodge Ram. Welded two large washers to both sides of mounting bracket , never had another problem

Default i used the gusset plate

but ill say this even the plate gusset could use a tack weld , but it hasnt budged a bit. so they work well , just paint it black. On the passengers side .
10 bucks from quadratec i believe / also get a 9/16 bolt kit and just change them all out . those run about 50 +

one of the small holes in the plate dosent get used , no way to get a tiny nut in there behind it

Just an update: I brought the jeep to a shop and they replaced the tie rod/ends and ball joints and did an alignment and DW seems to be gone. I have driven about 50 miles so far and it hasn't reared it's ugly head.

Fingers crossed
