Default AEV 3.5 Driveshaft concerns?

I know once you reach approximately 4" lift driveshafts are recommended or a necesity. AEV even comments that its recommended. My question is 6sp Unlimited, should I be concerned with the driveshafts? I see many successfully on here running without changing them. This is my daily driver and I am questioning the Teraflex 2.5 sitting in my garage along side the others.

I think I'm confused.... Are you running a 3.5 and considering going to a 2.5 sitting in your garage? or are you adding to your 3.5?

I have a Teraflex 2.5 coil lift still in the box(in garage), till I my get tires delivered. Believe it or not the wife stated she would prefer a higher kit. So now she has me questioning my choice of being conservative. I admire the AEV 3.5 and considered it initially. I am just concerned with the driveshafts once I go to 3.5.

Interesting I am finishing up my 3.5" premium and the AEV guys told me my stock shafts would last for awhile. Better get my Harley sold, looks like I'll need more visits from the parts fairy.

I have the 3.5" Rock Krawler kit and have been running it for the past year and a half and haven't had any problems. Its on a 2dr with 6spd. I probably should change it, but dont have the money and haven't had a problem yet...

I have 5 inches of lift and have been running my stock shafts with no issues at all ... pinion angle is fine and have about 26000 miles on it ... 100000 overall miles on the 2007 4 door with an auto

Even with a good flexing 2.5" lift the front driveshaft will hit the trans skid and tear off the boot after you disconnect.

True, you can make it awhile with the OEM shafts on the front and rear but they will be straining under the pinion angle and eventually give out. Both my front and rear are spitting but still operating until I can pony up $1k for quality DS's.
