I would make the shop pay for new wheels and keep those as spares.... That is bullshit that a tire shop would ruin the finish on a set of wheels. They are liable... Talk to the owner or someone higher up. Those wheels ain't cheap...

What he said.

But if you do want to paint them, the color AEV recommends is Chrysler part number # 4889702AA. It's a dark grey touch-up paint. I haven't used it on my wheels yet, but I painted my diff covers with it and it looked pretty similar.

Just got back from the shop and took pics. I wanted to put them on myself. Guess I should have mounted the wheels myself also.

Thanks to everyone for the replys. I have to say, very impressed with the
KM2's so far. I can't believe how quiet they are on the street! Looking forward
to testing them on a little trail action but will install my B&M trans cooler
first. Oh yeah, will have to break out the new ProCal as well.
So many things to do.

Here's the AEV web site that recommends what to get. It's a pretty close match:

Here's a thread where I give my rant on the Pintlers:

Thanks for the info.

I have liked these wheels for a while now and hope I have no issues with them.

Yup this color is a close match. Good enough for me as I know they will take on more scratches. It's better than showing bare metal !!!

Here's another thread on here: AEV touch up paint

I will post a pic of mine touched up when I get a chance

I can't get anyone to get it right these days.

Will have pics soon as I calm down.
And yes...getting a lug wrench in those openings is tight. I actually leave an extended 13/16" narrow walled socket along with my lug nut key right on the dash if I know a mechanic has to take the wheels off for any reason.

Thanks for the info.

The guy must have tightened every wheel with his eyes closed. How could you not notice scraping the paint off around every lug nut on every wheel.
It is pretty hard to miss.
