AEV Beadlock wheel information
I am trying to decide on wheels and tires and I was leaning towards the AEV Beadlocks. But now I'm not sure they are the right wheel for me.
On the AEV website, there is some excellent information concerning these wheels. I didn't realize they required so much maintenance...for example, routine checking and annual bolt replacement. I don't think I have the knowledge to properly maintain these wheels. It sounds like they are for the more serious off-roader. My Jeep is a daily driver with only an occassional off-road adventure. So, perhaps the standard Pintler wheel would be a better choice. My Jeep currently is not lifted and I am hopeful that 33" tires will work with these wheels and there will be no rubbing.
If you are considering these wheels, read the beadlock info on the AEV website. It is very informative and very useful.
