Default Go for it!

I run with AEV Beadlocks everyday, on the Highway, with no problems. They are DOT approved. Just commit to the maitenance schedule and you will be in good shape.

I have been running the AEV beadlocks fo a couple weeks with no problems. I am going to check the torque to see if it is holding up.

Other than the weight, I like the Hutchison beadlocks. I've still got a set that I usd to run on my H1. I like the fact that the bolts that hold the rim halfs together are big (75 ft/lbs toque), and that they are located such that they are way out reach of the rocks. They are a major pain in the butt to disassemble though, and they are very heavy.

A friend of mine runs the Staun beadlocks and is quite happy with them. They hold well enough that he's able to air his 42" IROK's down to about 2 psi for awesome snow wheeling . They are nice because they are super light.

My next set of beadlocks will be one of those two options.

Chris.

I have been running the AEV for only a month no problems. I am running a 295 Toyo MT and didn't have to balance them. So far they have been smooth up to 100km/h. I like the Hutchinson but not being able to replace the outer ring was a big factor in choosing the AEV. The ring gets damaged not the actual rim.

bringing this back up from the dead to check for updates on how people who have these wheels on their Daily Driver like them still. Any long term maintenance issues outside of the regular torque checks?

While they are DOT approved You still need to make sure your State allows for 2 piece rims otherwise you run the risk of an unfiendly highway patrol busting you.
Also consider your yearly maintance cost to replace bolts and the outer ring if you live where there is salt used on the roads..about a $100+ bucks a year.
I went with pintlers but my wife still wants the beadlocks might need to get a set just for play

The cost and the 2 piece shouldn't be an issue. More worried about balancing and durability. Thanks.

I have them on my DD and after a year still love them. No real issues other than the bolts and the fact that no big name tire shop wants to talk to you. I am ordering the new style bolts though, which should make them easier to torque.
