I installed my winch after the bumper was on, but it was a b!tch trying to fit it in there. I had to remove the grill (without much space to play with). In short, it is possible, as long as you don't get a big-ass winch like the powerplant.

Thanks!! Soooo.....can you even use the powerplant winch?? I would be more than happy to take the bumper off if I could get the powerplant Warn winch to fit in there. AEV says anything up to 9500TI but if the Powerplant can be used with a little extra effort, PLEASE TELL ME.......I hated making that sacrifice to get the AEV bumper but would do it again.....sweet bumpers!

Not 100% sure if it would fit. It would seem that you would need to do some trimming of the bumper to get it in there.

According to Dave the powerplant requires signifigant modifications to get it to fit. Also you need to install it offset, and so it would not be centered in the bumper. I think you would also need to trim the frame rails a bit.

Yes, AEV has done it and I dont think they would do it again...
It required lots of work and really just isn't meant to fit there.
I was going to skip the AEV bumper as the Powerplant wont
fit BUT after reading the issues they are having with the
Powerplant I think I am going to run the AEV and the Warn
