Default AEV drop bracket upper bolt size.

Does anyone know the upper control arm bolt size since I have to cut mine. Also how do you put new bolt in. Will it fit through hole on frame?

I installed these, and I didn't have to cut anything. I just ran the bolt through the other direction..if that makes sense. Also, use your jack to create the space needed between the exhaust and the frame. It is still a royal PITA, but this makes it easier by far.

I cut the bolt on mine the way I was having to pry didnt want to risk breaking somthing. Then like he said flip the bolt. If I were you I would grab a bolt out of the kit for size and measure for length and take it to the hardware store. Buy a locking pinch nut also.

I am not going to chance an exhaust leak. Taking the safe route and cutting the bold. I went through 2 ratchet straps trying to pry and stripped gears on one of them. The fiber was so tight It was like struming a few notes on a guitar. I found another thread that listed the bolt size and had to special order. Should be here in a few days. Would rather the bolt be an exact replacment. Hope this will help my front end with geometry issues. Just put 35's on and really need the extra stability.

It seems some years have more of an exhaust issue than others. My 2010 only took a little bit of force with my floor jack to create enough space to pop the bolt out and right back in with the new brackets.
