AEV drop brackets and aftermarket Driveshaft ???
does anyone have any experience running the AEV control arm drop brackets and an aftermarket double cardan driveshaft? curious to know if anyone has experienced vibes with this setup.
The brackets themselves essentially act the same as adjustable upper control arms (assuming you have stock lowers, it is like running slightly shorter uppers). So, the brackets don't directly cause an issue. They do indirectly depending on what your pinion angle ends up being. The brackets have three holes depending on your lift. It's a balance between castor and pinion angle. You'll have nearly the same balancing act with adjustable arms, except those you can dial in more precisely.
I added the brackets and it made a world of difference on my 2-door. Given the amount of lift you have, you shouldn't have an issue getting a good pinion angle for use with an aftermarket shaft.
Btw, I know a guy selling a set of the brackets that are only three months old! haha
