Default AEV Front bumper and Superwinch Talon 9.5lsr

Does anyone have this combo? I just want to make sure it fits before I order. Thanks.

Replies without the word "warn" in them would be appreciated.

I run that winch in my expedition one bumper. It is a killer winch, but is very wide. I had to drill my own holes in the winch plate as I wanted it centered and not offset. It mounts just like a powerplant

I don't mind drilling holes, but I am trying to avoid taking a grinder to a $1,400 bumper. Damn AEV for making such a good looking bumper. I have a bunch of amazon gift cards so my winch options are pretty open. I just liked everything I read/saw about the superwinch talon, and the price is good for what you get.

I've got the AEV bumper but put a Smittybilt XRC10 in it because of how well it fits. The XRC8 actually would have cost more since I'd need to cut the top plate to allow access to the clutch release, or I'd have to live with the hassle of accessing it. I haven't used it yet so no comments on the winch itself otherwise.

I know the lp8500 won't fit because of the fixed solenoid that has a plug off to the side so it may depend on which talon you get.

I did a little research. The Warn CTI fits, the superwinch seems to be the same basic shape. If anyone has the CTI and the aev bumper, how much extra space is there?

Warn CTI

Mounting Bolt Pattern: 10.0" x 4.5" (254mm x 114.3mm)

Superwinch Talon 9.5 lsr

Mounting Bolt Pattern 10” x 4.5” (254mm x 114.3mm)

XRC-10 Comp

The main problem, at least with my bumper is that the motor on the Talon is huge. The recessed cutout on my winch is just over 25" and it is tight in there on the motor side.

Update:
I got an e-mail response from AEV (real fast, awesome company). They said as long as I had the winch with the solenoid in the center Talon 9.5i SR (pic 1) it will fit. Solenoid on the side Talon 9.5 SR (pic 2) wont fit. I ordered the winch today, bumper is on order but back-ordered. I'll post an update when I finally get everything together.

It's tight but it fits. I had to cut off the original vacuum pump bracket, but you would have to do this to fit any winch.
