AEV Front Winch Bumper Install

Default AEV Front Winch Bumper Install

I just ordered my AEV front bumper, warn winch, skid plate, and some KC highlights. has anybody done the install themself, and have some thoughts or heads up to do this install?

I did it myself. Tip #1 is to make sure you aren't using a cordless drill. That is what took mee the longest since I could only get about 1 hole drilled every couple hours without waiting for it to charge.

Tip #2 Also I know that I would make sure you time the bottom clips of the grille to make it easier to change headlights in the future, and also I would run the winch and light wiring through some split loom, or get some heater tubing and run it in front of the radiator on the passenger side, and them over to the battery.

Tip #3 The third thing is when you do the bumper face bolts dont tighten them all until you get the bolts into the back of the bumper, and also start the ones for the skid if you are doing that install. This is mostly for alignment because I ran into the issue where I tightened the face bolts, and then couldn't get the bolts into the back of the bumper for the fogs and I wasn't lined up for the skid bolts.
