Just curious if anyone has bought an AEV Hood recently and what your experience was? Received mine last week from Quadretec painted and was buckled about 2-3" on right side by the cowl ( had a nice bulge on that area) . Wasn't even close to matching body lines. Also had a small chip and nice 6" paint run on front scoop. 3 phone calls and still waiting on my freight return ticket. Rep on Quad's chat said they have had quite a few lately. I know AEV switched over to a new mold, must not have R/D it correctly.

 

As far as I know, AEV only sells the raw hood. Quadratec paints the ones they get.

 

I guess the painter dropped mine and then painted over the damage.

 

Had a similar issue but Quadratec made it right.

 

Sorry to hear about this. Quadratec is usually a stand up distributer. Hope everything turns out for you.

 

Yeah, mine came from an AEV dealer so it was primered, but no damages to it.
