Default AEV led brake light

For those with it, did you, or AEV cut the regular third brake light stalk off, or just tap into wiring? Wifey got it for me, now just trying to figure out how to hook it up. She also got me a Shrockworks stubby. I'm lucky.

Yup....I have it and love it. I had enough of the bulky light housing taking up so much of my rear view. I have the Mopar rear OR bumper with tire carrier. I cut the wire and soldered a simple trailor type plug to it so I can simply unplug it when I open my tire swing or if I forget it will just unplug itself if forced. I really like it...looks way better not having that gawky brake light sticking up.

BTW...sorry my pics suck...I spend all my extra money on my Jeep not a camera.

Thanks, I'll probably end up with a shrock rear stubby, but that will be a ways out. So for now I need to use the stock carrier, but the stock light has to go.

You could use the ORO and relocate your license plate.

I had it but took it off. It just looked out of place. Plus, my Mopar rear bumper came with a taller stock light.
