I am looking for wheels and it is making my head spin. I'd like some made in the USA, mostly flat black, quality wheels.

Thanks.
They are hub centric like OEM wheels. Most aftermarket wheels are not.

Savegre's are the stronger of the two, but also a little heavier.
Savegre's for sure.

A couple of manufacturers still make them in the US but not Rugged Ridge and AEV, though are both hub-centric (some others are too- or provide rings). Some overseas facilities make excellent wheels, while many do not. The big ones supply the OEMs. I look for the JWL or JWL-T certification. If the VIA mark is there, the certification has been independently tested. This is a Japanese certification.

Rugged Ridge has their wheels independently tested to the SAE J2530 standard...another good level. This certification is probably an American one. It requires manufacturer registration, certification of testing facility or laboratory and submittal of test results from a certified facility. I would be fine with this too.

I am not sure if Black Rhino does this but they also build nice wheels...I just prefer to dig into what testing and certification has been done, especially on alloy wheels. I'm a bit geeky like that.

I see some that are SAE certified. I guess i need to learn what the means. US made is important, but off-shore wheels that meet quality standards are OK. I don't like to buy Chinese made anything.

I don't like random Chinese stuff unless I know more about the process/facility. Lucy Liu is an exception.

I love the look of my Pintlers. It made me a little sad to learn that they are made overseas but most wheels are.

I imagine it's all preference. For me, I thought the Savegre Wheels set off the "Black and Tan" look I was going for.

I just ordered the Savegre in black what is confusing to me is ive read different backspace numbers
Northridge4x4 sais +10mm offset and also sais in description 4.7" backspacing
AEV home page site sais +10mm offset and 5.2" backspacing

I'm not sure what is the rite one,i have a 2012 sport and i really liked the look so i just ordered a set.It has been a tuff month trying to make the rite decision. I will be putting a 32" tire on the wheels just not sure which brand. All i ever wanted is to have my rear tires stick out to the edge of the fenders.Ive been so bummed out driving around with these 16" steel wheels and car tires.Ive seen a few pictures and i'm still confused.
