AEV Pro Cal question
I fired up my pro cal last night and modified for tire size and day time running lights. I got the double horn for each calibration.
Upon checking, the daytime running lights don't seem to have taken. Now I'm wondering how to know if the tire size calibration worked properly. Any ideas?

Two things, make sure you had your key in the right position, I've done it where it didnt have it turned far enough ahead.
Also, if you have a smart phone you can use the gps or app to check the speedometer

According to the Procal manual, you're supposed to cycle the key OFF after the programming is successful (i.e. the horn honks) but before you start the engine. If you started the engine before cycling the key OFF, maybe the settings didn't take.
i double checked my tire calibration by resetting the odometer about 100 miles from my house and crossing it with what my iphone said. i originally put in 34.25 for my 35" km2's and my miles on the odometer seemed high. now its set down to 34" and all seems good. crazy how far off tire diameter can be. i feel owed some rubber.
Thanks folks. I tried cylcling the key to off before starting, and that did the trick.
I'll also try the GPS to verify the speedometer, because I'm not sure I got a great measurement on my tire diameter.

I enabled the daytime running lights as well but did not think it worked at first. Then I figured out the running lights don't turn on until you put it in gear. I think i ran throught the procedure 3 or 4 times and gave up thinking it did not work. A couple of days later I cranked up the Jeep at night and had the DOOOH! monent.
