Default AEV Procal and 2014 Rubi

I have a 2014 Rubi Unlimited and changed out my tires/wheels. Purchased an AEV Procal.
Did the programming for the tires and also turned off the tpms. My 14' has the EVIC computer system in it and every time you start it up it says to check the tpms system and switches to the little jeep pic showing 0 for each wheel. Is there anyway to get rid of that? It's really annoying!
I also noticed that when installing on the 2014 when it does the two horn blows the computer lights up and says hot oil.......????? Kinda strange! Any info would be great!

I also have a 13' Rubi and that just has the regular computer system in it, and it was fine after I installed the Procal. No messages or pics.

I thought the Procal doesn't disable the tpms system, but rather drops the threshold to 0 psi as to not trigger the light. I could swear thats all mine did for my 2010.

When I set my tire size my 14 sport says the same thing on the EVIC "hot oil". I was confused also so I checked my speed per a GPS and it is right on. I am not sure about the TPMS. I set mine to 24psi, and my tires to 30psi and it beeped twice. I haven't tested it to see if it goes off at 24 psi though.

The Procal seems random. I used one on a 2014 Rubicon and no issues. On my 2013 Sport, the TPMS won't adjust with the Procal. Horn blows twice, but nothing changes. It works for everything else though.

Typical AEV. Pay a lot for something that doesn't perform well. Careful when you change gear ratio, will probably make your doors lock when you hit unlock.

Hey, I bet the Procal makes your Jeep ride better than stock though

The threshold is at 0, but the evic system sucks....always says to check the tps system and little jk with 0's shows up. I left it alone to see if it would go back to temp on it's own, but you have to hit the menu button everytime. I don't have tpms in my new tires/wheels.
I might give AEV a call. See what they have to say.........I would of used the one from my 13' but they said it wouldn't work....might have to save up and get a superchips....at least those work!

I had a 13 and now have a 14 and I have had no problem setting either threshold to 0 on the evic with no issues. Jordan of aev and the inventor of the procal says occasionally on 13 and 14's there is a glitch and it can usually be fixed by disconnecting the battery cables from the battery and touching the positive and negative cables together for 10 minutes. This worked for me on my 14. My tpms is set to 0 but shows no check tpms warning light or warning tone. I get no hot oil indicator either.

Mine reset OK and will only show the TPMS if I go to that screen.

I read on another thread about disconnecting the battery cables and wait 10 minutes. I just did mine and now it is fine!
So I guess on some 14's you have to do that.......I think AEV would put that in their instructions, so folks would know what to do...........just a thought!
