AEV Procal help please
I got my AEV Procal and it is very easy to use. I've used it already for my tire size and it seems to have fixed my speedo. Do I need to set it to my new 513 gears if I have a manual transmission? Or is the new gear ratio only needed for auto's so that the auto transmission knows when to shift? Why do I need to enter new gear ratio with my 6 speed manual?

But that begs the question, why do you want to disable ESP? You've got a button for it on your dash already. If you need to disable it for offroad use, use the button. It should turn off in 4-low anyway.
I think the main reason you need to recalibrate the gear ratio if you changed gears in a manual is so your esp works properly. I think with all the sensors if anything is out of wack you can have codes etc.
I want ESP off bc with larger tires the ESP turns on when it doesn't need too. Like in tight corners etc. I've noticed it a lot when I went up to 33s. Now that I'm putting on 37s I'm assuming this will be exaggerated that much more.

Most likely the steering wheel isn't perfectly centered. Using the centering feature of the Procal with the Jeep on an alignment rack will get it perfect. I have 35s and 2.5" lift and never get the ESP activation in turns like some report.
