Default AEV ProCal and TPMS sensors.

I installed the AEV ProCal last week and turned the TPMS sensors off (flashed to 0 PSI). They work great and I no longer have the TPMS light on my dashboard.

Question is...

I want to change my current wheels. Now, since I set the TPMS threshold to 0 PSI, does the computer need to read the actual TPMS sensors?

Or...

Can I just install regular valve stems w/o TPMS sensors in the new wheel and still keep the TPMS sensor light on my dasboard off?

That is a good question and I can't say for sure, but if it is set to 0 I would think the sensors could be left out. I will interested in the answer.

Very good question and was wondering the same thing. I want to ditch the sensors before I probably break them...

Remove and keep them in the glove box.

I used the Pro-cal to set mine at zero and light is off. My rims are from an 07 so they have no tpms at all. No problems

I used the ProCal to turn off the stupid TPMS light. I am running Cragar 340's with no sensors whatsoever. The AEV guys are saying it will throw off an internal trouble code on the Starscan, but it will not be seen in day to day operation. You should just use the ProCal to return it to factory before you bring it for warranty work though.

No sensors here, and ProCal turns off the dummy light and dings. Another benefit, with the dummy light on, the dash will not fully dim, but with the light off, the dimmer works again! Thanks AEV!

Before I get my new tires mounted, just wanted to confirm this.

I have an 09, bought new wheels and tires without TPMS. Set pro cal to 0 and the light is gone.
