I have the AEV 3.5" lift and it came with Bilsteins. I don't know how they compare with other shocks but I am very happy with the ride quality. I don't know if that is what you are looking for.

The shocks are Bilsteins, but AEV claims they are valved different to best work with their suspension systems.

Yeah, I just got a set for my new lift but I was curious of the actual part # they give you. It all relates to my thread "Bilstein 5100 Questions" about 2 shocks.

It depends which level kit you buy from them. One just comes with 5100s the higher end comes with aev valved 5160s. Dont know how different the valving is though.
