Hmm, that's curious.

It enters the engine bay through the hood. The AEV hood already has a location for it, some sort of vent there. Looks like you'd have to cut the stock hood, but not much at all.

This is a drivers side shot of the AEV hood, but pass. is the same.

I Don't Know How Good Of A Seal You'd Get When You Close Or Open The Hood

I think the snorkel is stationary, and the hood is cutout around it.

It's uglier than sin....

this snorkel makes the River Raider Snorkel even more appealing.

Now if it would only come down in price

I'd like to see a close up of the intake and under hood set-up, but at first glance I like the way the River Raider looks better. I can't tell in the pic, but is it metal or plastic?

X2 David,

AEV is a class act. It may be the answer to the dual battery question (which I still hope to someday see) I keep asking in regards to the River Raider design.

I like the fact that if you run the AEV hood (which I am planning on getting) it requires no cutting. It also will be available with a ram air intake similar to river raider, and the others. I also would think it would provide a better seal since you would only have one joint probably between the snorkel and the airbox, and the ducting will probably be cleaner than ones that do not enter directly into where the stock airbox is already sucking from.
