Default AEV Snorkel on a Greystone JK / stock hood

Well after seeing Putnam Dan's AEV Snorkel installed I had to get my own. I ordered to David @ Northridge 4x4 and in a few days it arrived.

It's definitively high quality design and workmanship.

Installation was simple and the hood still conserves it's strength. The cut after wards was painted in black for corrosion protection and looks.
Now I'll extend all my breathers (diffs, trans) a bit higher and waterproof the electrical system.

Did you cut the hood yourself? What did you use?

You have a sweet looking Jeep.....Kudos

I am guessing a passenger side mirror for doors off is out of the question with the snorkel....

Looks nice. I already ordered my River Raider. I just like metal better then plastic, but it does look good.

That is a very nice install. I usually ain't for cuttin a new vehicle all up, but you did a very professional job. Just curious.....what specific steps will you take to waterproof your electrical system?
