Default AEV snorkel and tools

So I have seen and researched all the snorkel info that I can find and I have settled on the AEV snorkel. My question though is:
Can it be done using hand tools (saws) instead of power tools just to reduce the chance of mishap and to take it really really slow in the cutting process? I have never cut into sheet metal and would prefer to use elbow grease to do the cutting but was curious if it is at all possible to do this manually? Thanks. P.S. I think doing it myself any method is more rewarding than having the dealer or shop install it as I am thinking as a backup plan...

honestly, with the right power tools and cutting blades/bits, you'll find that it really isn't so bad. to do this by hand will take a lot of elbow grease and i'm not even sure it would provide better results.

^^Agreed. The problem your gonna find with hand tools is that the metal (hood) is so damn flimsy you'll end up pulling/pushing it and disform it all to hell with hand tools. Once you drill the 2 big holes its really 3 simple cuts, but I'd get at least a dremel. I ended up using a pnumatic cut-off wheel.
