Default AEV Vented Hood installed?

My 2012 JKU Rubicon with 700 miles was hailed on at work. AllState cut a check to replace the hood and cowl. Can anyone speak from experience what they paid to have an AEV vented hood installed on their JK? I'm hoping there is enough $ to cover the upgraded hood or just have a small difference.
Thanks, Brandon

Well if you go the Mopar/Dealer route it will run about $1000 for the hood and $700 for paint and all the other miscellaneous stuff.

Cheaper to have it shipped raw/primered and then painted than to have it shipped painted. It will most likely come with a chip or two in it or worse.

Because I chose the dealer for the repairs they have to order Mopar parts so I can't order the primed AEV hood for $800. The Mopar hood P5155351 is the AEV hood sold as a Mopar part (of course marked up $200). I'll post pictures when complete. Delivery of the hood could take 2 weeks. My insurance check covers the entire thing and I know it will look perfect from the dealer so I'm not real upset about the markup in price. Also I'd pay shipping on the AEV hood which would probably run near $100 which brings it pretty close to the cost of the identical Mopar good. Now I wait.

Does the mopar one have the heat grills in it or able to put the snorkel in?

Or is it the same as my MW3 hood?

It is the MW3 or "power bulge" hood that DOES NOT have the venting. So You'd still have to cut into it for a snorkel install.

That's what I thought. I wanted to make sure the OP knew the difference and wasn't disappointed. :-/ You have the right to change your mind on who to do the repairs.
