Default AEV's Procal??????

Just wanted to know...I have heard different stories. Is the procal VIN encoded or not. Really looking for a cheap way to calibrate speedo and gear change. Any help is appreciated!

yes that is correct sir.. it's not like they're too expesive considering all they do. since i installed mine i love it! shift points changed and are better. getting better gas milage. and we now have day time running lamps. all in all probably the best 150 i have spent on the jeep so far.

If you buy it used, be sure to verify that they have in fact Restored back to stock. It'll save some headaches...

Everyone's right. It's a very useful, inexpensive tool. Mine has done what I've asked of quickly and simply. This answers your question at the source:

Its Ok to buy it used, as said previously, just make sure the seller restored original settings using the Procal before buying it.
