after lift, steering issue
Guys, needing some help here. I have a 2012 JK unlimited and just installed a 3.5'' rough country lift and 35'' tires. Also took it and had an allignment done. For some reason when I turn to the left it's fine but when I turn to the right, the steering wheel will go almost 1/4 of a full rotation before the tires respond. It is dangerous to drive like this but I can't get it to do it while in the drive way. Have any of you ran into this problem before?
Nothing like that. It drives and sounds fine besides the turning right issue. Sometimes when it does it, it will turn the traction control on too. It's like something is trying to give and allows it to turn before it finally catches

Go through PlanMan's suspension check to diagnose where your problem is. More than likely, something is loose.

That is a terrible kit as far as the way it addresses steering geometry. I would start by going over all the bolts in the linkages (drag link and track bar) as well as the drop bracket and make sure they are torqued correctly. Check the pitman arm to make sure it is not slipping. Have someone turn the wheel while you look over everything. The steering box may also have been damaged when the drop pitman arm was installed.

I had this issue after my lift. Even after taking it in to my installing mechanic. It started with the steering taking a quartet turn in one direction and the occasional ESP light. My trackbar was not torqued enough. It would move a bit back and forth. Basically it took a quarter turn to catch. Start there. Make sure it's torqued to spec and not any less. Good luck.
