After-Market Bumpers
I recently damaged the stock rear bumper for my 2011 JK rubi. I'm looking for good after markets for a good price to replace both the front and the rear, but I'm picky. I don't want a stubby bumper, I want full length, I don't want a tubular bumper either. A winch plate and light mounting points are also preferable but not required. So after reading my novel, any suggestions.
It comes down to how much you want to spend... do you want a tire carrier ? Plan on spending 1000 at least
... but I loveeeeee ACE stuff talk about trail tested tough I have seen people smack a tree doing 30+ and drive away with out a scratch.

Use the search for multiple threads on front and rear bumpers. It's really personal choice and how deep your pockets. The inexpensive eBay bumpers appear ok but you get what you pay for. My concern with the eBay product is the manner the spindle is attached to the bumper for the tire carrier.
If your future plans include larger tires, then its best to get that weight off of the tail gate. Even a 33" tire can damage the welds in the gate. Although some will post that they run 35" tires on the stock mount with no issues, others have had major problems. Keeping the tire tight and rattle free to the gate helps, but is no guaranty of longevity. One of my favorites is by Expedition One, but is pricey. I run the High Rock for half the price.

Build your own, i did. If you don't know how to fab, go to a welding shop and draw up your ideal bumper with a fabricator. Chances are they can make it happen. Compare costs and decide if you would rather have the same bumper as countless others Jeeps.
My bumper is simple right now. It's just a matter of time and money until it is complete.
I will eventually inset a winch, add a hoop and some shackle mounts. If it gets old, I'll cut it up and change it.
