Same here installed ARB 44&30 differential covers with lube lockers, as the lube lockers fit the differential perfectly it doesn't matter what cover you use.

I used Mobil Ultra gear oil HD lub 70W140 for fr/rr, not synthetic, will do the job perfectly. Glad I change the diff oil as my rear oil was black (compared to my front differential) --> only 4k kilometers on the clock, I was quite surprised.

Cheers,

Mark

The OP only has a dana30 in the front. Unless the Riddler holds a butt tonne more than my ARB front diff, then 2 QUARTS will way overflow. TRF, I'm using 2 in my dana30 with an ARB cover.

was your front diff fluid clean, almost new looking? Mine was when I did mine last weekend and I gotta say, it freaked me out a little.

D30 front with SOLID cover, lubelocker & synthetic.
D35 rear (yes, i said D35) RockCrusher cover, lubelocker & synthetic.

I have changed my fluids twice since installation & No leaks, drips or loosening bolts.

Yes indeed the front diff fluid was clean, I could easily have re-used it but I didn't.

The rear diff oil was pitch black, there was some silvery/metally drap in the bottom, no shavings. I just cleaned as best as I could with my fingers :-) and installed the cover. I am pretty sure this is OK, diff's always need to be run in and the front diff is obviously hardly used (in my case not at all). I remember when I installed the ARB airlockers on my TJ, I changed diff fluid at 500km, 1000km and when I changed it at 5000km it was pretty clean as well (after some serious sand dune driving) so diff's need to mesh (so to speak) and I don't think it is a problem. I will change the rear diff in another say 3000km and see what the color is this time.

I am wandering which service would have change the diff fluids? I would recommend to change the rear diff more often (little cost and 'feels' good)

Cheers,

Mark

I have Riddlers with Lubelockers on my 30 and 44. I used Royal Purple oil and am happy so far.

Only warnings that I have is that you should throw out the grade 5 hardware Riddlers come with and get grade 8 hardware. Also go about 5 lbs less torque than the Lubelocker specs.

I run ARB covers on both my jeeps. They both run lube locker seals and they run synthetic oil (Royal Purple).

I'm going with the same set up for my diffs. Do you recommend the lubelockers? Any tips on the install?

I have a PML finned aluminum cover that I really like. I used a lubelocker gasket and Amsoil synthetic fluids.
