Default Aftermarket Front Drive Shaft only

I've been running my OEM/Stock front drive shaft with a torn boot for awhile, and I'm looking to get a new 1310 (not sure on brand yet).

Question: If I replace the front with an aftermarket, can I keep my rear drive shaft stock? Will running in 4HI cause vibration due to different rotating masses between front and rear drive shafts?

What front 1310 drive shaft does everyone recommend? I only wheel about once a month or less.

Thanks in advance

Lot's of people only replace one DS. No need to replace both if you don't have to.

Above poster mentioned Adams...those seem to tbe the cheapest option out there and a good reputation from what I can tell. I run Coast because it was what Northridge sells and I like dealing with them from a customer servcie perspective (i.e. if I have issues with anything down the road, they are better to deal with to get it resolved).

Other brands that are totally fine are Tom Woods (kind of the long standing choice for many) and JE reel. Any of them are fine.

Thanks for the info! I only lifted 2.5" but still somehow ripped my boot off...hence the front drive shaft replacement.

2.5" lifts are hit and miss on the driveshaft issue. I know people say you don;t have to worry but the real answer is "it depends".

I ran the TF 2.5" for 2 years and never had an issue. I have a Rubi so always wheeled disconnected. Brother in law has a Sahara with same lift and he's torn 2 boots....go figure. When I went to the 3.5" lift, I didn't even take a chance. Just went with Coast and gave my stocker to my brother in law as a backup in case either of his torn driveshafts ultimately fail.

Another vote for Adam's. Great product, great service. Got mine through Chris at Jeep Wrangler Accessories such as Jeep tops, winches, fender flares from manufactures such as BesTop, Rugged Ridge, ARB, OR Fab, Rampage and Smittybilt

yes

Never noticed this but I have never run 4hi (or 4lo) on smooth enough terrain to notice any driveline vibrations
