Default Aftermarket Wheels and Spacers Question

I'm currently running a set of Level 8 Trackers in a 17x8.5 with 4.75 BS. I'm considering adding a 1.25" or 1.5 inch spacer to these wheels to set them out a bit and make the jeep look a little more aggressive. Any thoughts on this? I know the supposed "dangers" of running spacers so spare me the you're putting your life in danger crap. I know how to install them and what measures need to be taken I'm just wanting opinions on how it'll look and if there's anything I need to consider.

I have factory steel wheels and thinking about installing spacers with larger tires. I do like the look. The only thoughts I have is you have to check to make sure the lugs are tight every so many miles and the fact that I could get different wheels with better b.s. and that would not be much more in price.

I already have aftermarket wheels. I'm considering adding the spacers to these wheels.

You can do that with no short term problems. I did the same with my 4.5 BS wheels and 35" tires; left the 1.5" spacers on. However, my shop said if I don't beef up the axles somewhat (gussets, sleeves) and do some hard wheeling, there may be trouble down the road. So I took the spacers off...

I ran 1.5 inch spacers for 2 years and had no issues.

Just a little reminder that bs or spacers are not used to ajust the looks of the Jeep, they are to correct stearing. The center of your contact partch should be in line with the line that projects through the center of your ball joints. As you increase your tire size you also need to increase you bs to keep this relationship correct. Not doing this leads to early failure of the ball joints stearing conectors and even the stearing gear bearing. This all adds up to a lot of extra cost.

Also, if the cost does not bother you, pushing the tires out wider than the flares make it suck in bad theather because the front tire rooster tails kill visability.
