air conditioning condenser - replacement
I have a 2008 JK Unlimited Rubi with the RIPP generation 2 SC + air-to-air intercooler. My AC stopped working and when I took into my local dealer for a diagnostic they told me that it appears that my air-to-air intercooler has punctured a hole in the AC condenser. The dealer wants $900.00 to replace the AC condenser. Couple questions for everyone out there:
Has anyone else had to replace this and if so what did you spend?
Has anyone replaced this themselves and if so how much were the parts and how difficult was it?

It is funny you brought this up. I installed my Ripp last winter. When i went to use my a/c this summer it did not work. I didn't look into it and just left the top off all summer. I'm gonna do some looking now.
Hello,
I just sent you a response to the PM you sent me as well and it looks like we are not alone... I ended up getting a second quote from a local independent jeep shop. It was about $700.00 (parts + labor) soo I ended up having them do the work etc... I am going to be reaching out to RIPP in regards to this issue.

I hope you don't have the same issue. Just a heads up $900.00 is about the going rate for to replace the AC condenser but my local independent shop did it for about $700.00...
you can find an aftermarket condenser for about 150 bucks. It's a hour to hour and a half job to change it out. No big deal. I had the same thing happen to me. Make sure you put the inner cooler bottom bolts on the support and not behind it. Make sure the top "L" brackets are tight and you can't bump the inner cooler back when it is tightened down. AC shop prob gonna charge you $100 to pull a vacuum and recharge.

It was almost a month running on mine before I hit a big enough bump in the road to rub a hole in my condenser. If you put the bottom bolts on the support and tighten it down there will be no problems . 20 minute job.
