Default Air Intakes

Want to get an intake system for my 2011 and I'm having a tough time choosing. So far narrowed it down to K&N, Airraid, and Volant. If you have any of these 3 please give any info you can. Happy? Noticeable power increase? Durability? Any info will help. Thanks guys

I have the Airaid CAI with the Poweraid spacer, I noticed about a 1.5 MPG increase with both (0.5 from just the spacer), and better engine performance around the 45-50 mark. I only tested MPG for each one separate, but I would assume most of my power came from the intake.

I should also add that I definitely have my foot on the pedal a lot more than before I installed it as well. So maybe if you keep the same driving habits, you might be able to get some more MPG out of it. Maybe might even be the same as the above poster, unless he does the same thing I do.

My dad has the airaid and it did help with throttle response. My aem brute force had way more seat of the pants feel.

I would go with the volant for the cleaner look.

I'd get better gas mileage if I drove like a sissy lala but I prefer to drive gas is free but I have gotten my 08 2dr 24mpg with cc on the freeway going at 65

I have the Airraid and Poweraid set up too. I've noticed the same modest gains in MPG as others have mentioned. With my MBRP Off-Road Exhaust it seems to give my '11 4dr a bit more "oomph" (not to mention a great sound). Not the kind of oomph (i.e. "are those my kidneys in the back seat?") my IS-F had but then that why I sold it and went back to a Jeep. Speeding tickets are highly overrated after all. ;-)

I did a DIY using 4" Specter tubing, removed the rubber flap next to the radiator to allow more air in from the front. Noticed about 2mpg Avg over a few tanks of fuel after the install. I actually added on another 6" section that I cut down to about 4" to extend further into the original air box location. I used a L bracket from Home depot to secure the filter and keep everything secure.

I thought about buying a kit, the only thing is the cost and it restricts air getting to the filter. If you look at the stock setup, there is a small slot for the air to come in. Costs for everything was about $100

I have the airraid. I really like it. It has good sound, gave some low end torque and was easy to install. MPG may have gone up a tiny bit. Quality is awesome
