Air shocks are not good for that purpose as it will put all the added stress on the shock mounts.

Get some Firestone or Airlift airbags that go inside the coil spring. They are relatively easy to install and won't affect your ride when they are deflated.

Timbrens are another option but they will affect your ride wether you have the plow on or not.

Lots of good info on Plowsite.com

The air bags are the way to go here. I've got a set for the rear and just add a little air when I put a trailer back there.

On my plow rig, a 2005 suburban I use Timbren suspension. Works awesome. Before I would flatten the front suspension, after, it sits on the timbrens and works great. Have a look, they do have a setup for the JK as far as I can remember.
