Default Air Tank Question

I have a line on an air tank from an air compressor. It is rated for 125 PSI. Can I use this to fill with Co2, and use it like a power tank?

Sorry, dont know anything about air stuff, so if this is a dumb question, please excuse my ignorance.

CO2 is under a lot higher pressure than compressed air.

CO2 sits at about 500psi+, do not use that tank for it.

CO2 ACTUALLY ACTUALLY RUNS AT 1000 PSI AND CAN SPIKE TO 2000 PSI. yOU CAN GET A HIGH QUALITY CO2 TANK ONN EBAY FOR A REASONABLE PRICE YOU CAN SEE MY WRITE UP AS WELL i BUILT MY OWN.

Short answer, no you can't, it isn't rated for CO2 pressures and nobody will fill it for you. If you somehow tried to fill it yourself some part of it would likely explode.

Actually you can use that tank without any problems... just don't fill it over 125PSI. Kind of defeats the purpose of using CO2.

You could use a regular compressor and fill the tank up.

Any high pressure tank like SCUBA or CO2 requires scheduled testing and in some cases certification ( of the tank and the user ) to fill it.

High pressure tanks are good if you are going to have them filled and want them to last a while. If you install a tank like the one you have and a 12volt compressor you can fill the tank "on the go" and you won't need to use high pressure.
