Default Airaid here!

Got my Airaid CAI here....half day at work tomorrow and I'm going to change the oil, rotate the tires, install the CAI (hopefully ), then go through the carwash and gas her up in preparation for a quick trip to the beach...

remember to prevent whistlin dont push the airaid tube all the way into the rubber connecter. Feel in with your hand and tighten it where you feel the air is flowing as smooth as possible. Then you wont have any whistlin!

Default Installed!

No problems, easy intallation.
Thanks to this board, I was very careful when removing the temperature sensor.
Instant difference-small, but improved.
I would say it now drives like I 'think it should' from the get go:
Less 'power dip' at 1500rpm, and more overall get up and go.
I tend to drive at the lower RPM range, make my shifts at 2000-2300 range so I can't say much about 3000+ range.
I feel like I am driving with a little more confidence now.
I had a 'whistle' to begin with, but it is gone now, but there is a deeper 'rumble' with acceleration-quiet at idle.
I will be driving to the beach today so I will be watching for MPG changes.
I would definately recommend this as a cheap easy way to tweak the Jeep's performance.

do the ecu reset procedure to get the most out of your airaid. i noticed that my mpg didn't start going up until about the 6th tank of gas. it takes about that long for the computer to reprogram itself to your driving style. it has been in about 1.5 months and i still see the mpg's go up with each tank.

Did you follow the procedure that is posted on quadratec for TJ's? I only had about 200 miles on it when I put the exhaust and intake on mine, so I didn't think to reset it.

And I actually like the whistle! Even though my exhaust usually drowns it out

Question

At the risk of sounding dumb, how do you reset the ECU?

Unplug the battery for a little while.
