Default To all that have install there Driveshafts!

I have the rear Coast DS and will be getting the front in Nov. I want to save the $$ and do this myself along with installing the TeraFlex ruca's, coil wedges, and coil retainers. My only concern is re-torqing the pinion nuts.

I do not have the funds for a dial inch lbs. torque wrench, to check the pinion nut preload. I was told by are fleet mechanic that the bar type are crap! So, from I have read, In short, I can tighten the pinion nut to 160 ft. lbs. and then an 1/8" farther, and will be good to go. Or, mark the pinion nut and go an 1/8" past.

What di you do!

A recent write up about Tom Woods driveshafts, stated it takes 200+lbs of torque to screw up the crush sleeve. In the article it said 180 lbs of torque and you're good to go.
