Is this all I need? (Gears Swap)
Found a shop to do my Gear swap but they have asked me to bring the parts and will only charge me labor. Is this all I need to supply? Northridge 4X4 JK Non Rubicon 30/44 Gear Package and Install Kits My jeep is a 2012 JK 2dr sport with 39,000 miles. He said with the Jeep being relatively new I "shouldn't need a rebuild kit."
Any input is appreciated.

Yep, if you currently have 3.21's, you will want to replace the carrier in the d30. ($80-ish?, Northridge can give you a quote.) If you have 3.73, the current d30 carrier is fine. And if you are considering a traction device at the same time as gears, any full case locker/limited would take the place of the carrier. (the truetrac is a good, relatively inexpensive, option)
You also might want to step up to the gear package with Master kits, since new bearings are sometimes considered to be a good thing. But he will be the one setting them up and warrantying any problems, so your call.

There were a few posts way back when from someone who did some creative shimming and got the new gears in with the 3.21 carrier, but the overwhelming verdict seemed to be that a new carrier is needed.
I found this on their website, double check with them to make sure this is the correct carrier used in 'JK' d30's. You may notice that the carrier split specifically lists 3.73 & up. (Meaning the current carrier is for 3.21 only).
Yukon standard open carrier case, Dana 30, 3.73 & up (YC_D706008)

Looks like that is for older models. Doesn't list the JK in the "fits" details.

front carrier is a must as the break point is 3.54 on the front. at 39000 you should get a master install kit being you have it apart. Not a big expense in the grand scheme of things.

Aight. Added the carrier to list. Going to buy the master install / gear package deal from Northridge. It's just a little bit more $$$. Haha!
You guys think $750 in labor to install them is fair?
Thanks again for the help!

I talked to the mechanic today while at the shop and he talked about proper shimming etc... These guys do a lot of custom work on race cars and stuff. I am pretty confident in letting them do the work.

Prices can vary quite a bit by area. My first JK re-gear (in Texas) was $800 parts + labor. Second re-gear (in Colorado) was around $1600. A few high volume shops advertise $1000 out the door, and some people from the east coast and upper northwest complain about $3000+ quotes. So figure that if you end up in the $1500-$1600 range for gears + labor, you aren't getting screwed.
