Default Alright , can it be installed with out issues??

Alright guys, need some advice,

Bone stock right now, leaving for the Outerbanks in week and a half, its like a 12hr drive. I have sitting and ready to be installed 2" Rubicon Express budget boost, 296/75/16's BFG AT on procomp 16x8 ..... Do you think I can put this stuff on and be safe for driving with out steering issues or flightyness, and be safe for a long haul, or do you think I should wait till I get back or shoud this be pretty issue free install and good to go? Let me know guys is there anything else I should be buying in the way of brackets, drop brackets , control arms any of that stuff? let me know!!! Thanks

BB is just a spring spacer, they are easy to put on. Install it, throw on your tires and enjoy!!!!

That should cause no issues. But verify your geometry is correct and things are where they should be before driving the trip. There's plenty of information on the site about budget boosts and lifts in general. If you do it right and verify that you have the correct geometry, you should have no issues.

I installed the TF 2.5" BB about 24,000 miles ago. I drove from Clovis, NM to Goldsboro, NC (1650 miles) towing a small boat with no problems at all.
Are you talking Outer Banks NC? If so you can drive along the beach just north of Corolla, NC

I'd also consider booking an alignment check before heading out... if you do the lift.

Should need one with just spacers, that's the beauty of the JK suspension.

OK, so when you say " check the geometry" what do ya mean? What should I be looking for or checking and measuring?
Yes the Outerbanks NC ,OBX ! We love it, I have never driven on the beach, I know you can, we see them out there, looks like fun, maybe this year we'll venture out on the beach!

Any other issues or things I should be looking for?
Should I be looking into adj control arms for this 2" BB or will I get any benefit from those?

All I would do to "check the geometry" is just get it a quick alignment post lift.

You will not need any control arms with a 2'' Budget Boost.
Really just install the thing and go.

Before your trip just double check that everything is tight and torqued down.

Other than that drive it

Check in the project-jk site for the quick front-end alignment. It shows checking the toe-in, checking castor, etc...

With a budget boost, this might not be too big of a concern, but by checking to see that you are as close to the stock specs, you'll ensure that you don't have any flightiness, etc.

+1 on what eMETAL says

Only advice I'll say is give yourself some mileage running around town (maybe 100 miles or so) and get under to ensure everything is tight before venturing on a 12hr drive.
