Default amp and sub installation

K, I got a 12" kicker compS and a kicker mono amp.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/kicker-k...&skuId=8443121
Got a wiring kit. Will be wiring it to a rp4-ch11 and a pioneer avh-x2600bt.
Is there anything I need to look out for or does anyone have any tips before I start? I know about the hole in the fire wall behind the panel on the passenger side near the glove box.
Any tips before I start or anything I need to be aware of?
Power wire on the passenger side, and RCA and remote wire on drivers side, correct?
Thanks!

I need help. The amp isn't showing any power. Yes I have the power cable connected. I think its the remote wire. I have the pac rp4-ch11. I connected the blue white wire from the pac unit to the blue wire going to the amp. There's a blue white wire coming from the stereo connector that says system remote control. Is that the blue white wire I need to connect to? Or so I connect all 3 together? I'm stuck please help!!
